
Tony Buchen is an Australian record producer, mixer, composer, arranger, musician and song-writer based between Los Angeles and Sydney. Equally versed in vintage analogue recording equipment and techniques along with digital music creation Tony believes in breaking perceived rules to help artists reach their full potential in the studio and beyond. This means pushing the limits of recording practices as well as casting rooms with some of the world's finest, most innovative musicians when necessary. His background as a musician allows Tony to bring a deep understanding of musical arrangement and performance as well as the technical knowledge required to deliver ground breaking records.
Tony has worked with a varied and distinguished list of artists that includes Smashing Pumpkins, John Carroll Kirby, Eddie Chacon, Peter Garrett, Mildlife, Haruomi Hosono, Kiko Mizuhara, Lo Moon, James Iha, Touch Sensitive, Mick Flannery, Susan O'Neill, Full Flower Moon Band, Troye Sivan, Kirin J Callinan, Robyn Hitchcock, Montaigne, The Church, Jess Cornelius, Crystal Method, Babitha, The Falls, The Preatures and many more.
Tony also regularly composes for film, television and theatre. His work includes the feature films Lonesome and Two Ugly People as well as the forthcoming feature Hold Still starring Hugo Weaving.
